The Allen's Renovation
Bonvilston
Cloakroom & Ensuite Transformation
Cloakroom:
In this turnkey renovation, we completely transformed a once dark and impractical cloakroom into a statement space. The old cloakroom lacked storage and warmth, so the redesign needed to combine opulence with everyday usability.
Half-height Calacatta marble tiles, with warm red veining, were paired with Cold Brew paint from COAT, to give the space a rich and welcoming feel. The bespoke shaker-style vanity from Parker & Howley, hand-painted in Charleston Grey by Farrow & Ball, provided ample storage for the Allen’s, whilst also exuding timeless elegance.
We incorporated a large round brass-framed LED mirror to serve as a bold focal point but also to reflect light to brighten the space. The brushed brass brassware adds warmth and cohesion throughout.
To further enhance the functionality of the space we installed two recessed niches either side of the WC for additional storage. Backlighting was also incorporated into the niches to illuminate what was once a dark corner of the room, whilst also adding depth and ambience to the room.

Ensuite:
For the en-suite, our client wanted to blend modern opulence with the tranquil feeling you experience at a spa. We carefully considered every element of the design, to ensure that everything would evoke the feeling of being at a luxurious retreat.
The entire space has been made into a wet room that features Calacatta gold marble tiles. The wall tiles have a polished finish which helps capture and reflect light beautifully. Whereas the marble floor has a matt finish to offer warmth underfoot and improved slip resistance, providing an elegant yet practical choice for the wet room.
There are many other showstopping elements of this bathroom such as the gridded glass shower screen with brushed brass framework. This is complemented by a built-in shower bench that enhances the spa experience while adding comfort and practicality. A recessed niche with warm LED backlighting provides in-shower storage and accentuates the beauty of the marble.
We installed a bespoke double vanity, which was handcrafted by Parker & Howley, to give our clients ample storage for all their needs. We further customised this bespoke unit by painting it with the shade Skimming Stone by Farrow & Ball. The unit was topped with a light-toned quartz worktop as we felt that it contrasted beautifully with soft greige washbowls and the matching WC, and also tied in with the warm tones within the marble tiles. The final touch of the vanity area was integrating his-and-hers illuminated niches on either side of the vanity. This was done to that our client could add their personal touch to the space for decorative features such as candles, diffusers, or decorative accessories, or it could be used for further storage.
To pull the entire design together, we incorporated luxurious brushed brass fixtures in the bathroom, such as the wall-mounted taps, the shower fittings, screen framework, and vanity handles. This was done to create a consistent and elegant finish throughout the space.
