The Boltons reached out to our team as they had begun renovating a significant amount of their home as they wanted a fresh start and create a new space that she could enjoy with her friends and family. For this project, our team renovated three bathrooms (Main Bathroom, Ensuite, and Cloakroom) and installed new flooring, doors, and skirting boards in four bedrooms, the living room, entrance hallway and office space.
Main Bathroom Renovation
As the main bathroom is primarily used by the teenage children, it was tailored towards their individual wants and needs. The teenagers requested the built-in TV, as it would allow them to unwind and enjoy their favourite Netflix series in comfort.
Our client wanted this room to have a neutral palette infused with a touch of luxury. To achieve this, pearl mosaics, a curved seat, and brushed brass fittings were introduced, along with a marble floating sink that elevated the aesthetic.
Storage was a crucial element, so two tall seamless natural wood storage units were incorporated, providing ample space for their belongings.
The master bedroom’s ensuite underwent a dramatic transformation, turning an inefficiently designed space into a luxurious walk-in shower area. The design embraced a dark, moody ambiance with a matte black basin, unit, and WC.
A striking herringbone copper tile was selected to complement the main tile and add warmth to the space. To maximize functionality, a space-saving pocket door was installed, repurposing wardrobe space from the spare room to create the illusion of more space.
Brushed gunmetal fittings were chosen to reinforce an industrial yet refined look, aligning with the overall aesthetic our client had envisioned.
The Cloakroom was designed to be neutral and fuss-free, ensuring a pleasant experience for guests. A built-in WC and a small vanity hand basin were installed for efficiency, and an illuminated mirror was introduced as a subtle yet effective feature.
In addition to the bathrooms, the renovation included upgrading all flooring throughout the upper level, including bathrooms, bedrooms, and hallways, with wood-effect LVT. This provided durability, easy maintenance, and a fresh aesthetic. New skirting and doors were installed throughout the home, creating a cohesive and refreshed appearance.
The lighting in all bathrooms was upgraded, replacing single ceiling lights with spotlights, niche lighting, and LED mirror features to enhance ambiance and functionality. Downstairs renovations continued with all doors being updated to match the design upstairs.
This project was completed over three months, resulting in a total home transformation. The Bolton’s chose materials and design features that would ensure easy maintenance, such as the grout-free LVT flooring and bathroom finishes.
The final outcome exceeded Laura’s expectations, as she expressed in her testimonial, praising the craftsmanship and vision of Bathrooms of Cowbridge. This complete transformation provided the Bolton’s with a more practical and stylish living space which also reflected their personalities and lifestyles.
"I am delighted with the bathrooms, floors and doors renovations Bathrooms of Cowbridge undertook. When I visited their showroom and got chatting to the team, I knew straight away that my project was going to be in 'good hands' and I was not disappointed.
From the initial design meetings to the start of work, every detail large or small was effectively communicated to me and when the teams arrived on site everything was efficiently co-ordinated.
The workmen on site were very clean and tidy and were happy to answer any questions I had and reassured me about the process. The quality of the products and their workmanship was excellent and I am beyond happy with the results.
I'd highly recommend Bathrooms of Cowbridge and am waiting for them to expand into designing kitchens, as that's next on my "to-do" list!!"
