The Cook & Gourley's Renovation
Roath, Cardiff
Main Bathroom
This project showcases a blend of traditional bathroom features and contemporary design, with a carefully selected pallet of deep forest green, warm stone, natural oak and brushed brass.
The forest green tiling adds depth and texture, complimented by the neutral walls and stone tiled flooring. The walk in wet room shower features a bespoke brushed brass glass enclosure with half height wall to separate the shower zone from the bath. The recessed shower niche also provides practical storage as well as being a design feature. Carefully considered lighting including wall lights either side of the vanity mirror and hanging pendants help to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
A bespoke triple drawer solid timber vanity unit is paired with a statement Thomas Crapper forest green basin. The combination of the in-frame oak vanity and washbasin creates a stunning feature as you walk in to the space and the generous drawer storage ensures the space remains practical for every day use.
The BC Designs Penny bath was perfect for this design due to its traditional styling and clever space-saving proportions. It allows for the luxury of a free standing bath to be incorporated without compromising on valuable floor space. The brushed brass free standing bath tap then works to complete the scheme. The high level WC adds another element of traditional charm with its elevated cistern and classic pull-chain flush.
