In this incredible main bathroom transformation, our client wanted to give their bathroom a complete refresh, and radiate a timeless elegance. It was also essential that the new bathroom be easy to maintain and clean. With this in mind, we chose to install large white Calacatta marble tiles, so that there would be less grout lines to maintain around the room. We paired the tiles with a wood-effect LVT flooring which had a click installation technique as  it offered a seamless finish and is easy to clean.  

These tiles were also chosen for their aesthetic properties as well. The marble brings a sense of luxury and sophistication into the space, whilst the LVT adds texture and warmth, creating a balance between classic and contemporary elements. The tiles used together create a bright and spacious feel, whilst remaining true to the client’s request to create a timeless, modern and practical bathroom. 

The painted feature walls also complement the marble tiling, and introduce a little flexibility into the design. By using neutral or light-toned tiles and painting the non-tiled walls, the colour scheme can easily be updated in the future with a simple change of paint, allowing the room to evolve with the homeowner’s style over time. 

One key element of the transformation was improving functionality and comfort in the space. Our client had mentioned that they had a growing interest in hydrotherapy. To accommodate this, we decided to remove the shower enclosure, to make way for a shower-over-bath setup. This meant that we could install a larger and more luxurious jacuzzi bath for our client to use for hydrotherapy.

Storage was another major consideration, with the new layout featuring two recessed niches in the bath and shower area, a tall storage unit beside the basin, and a mirrored cabinet above the pedestal basin to maximise practical storage without compromising aesthetics.

Gunmetal brassware was used throughout the space to add contrast and depth against the white marble, complementing the subtle dark grey veining within the tiles. 

The overall result is a bathroom that feels timeless and modern, combining high-end finishes with thoughtful details to create a serene, low-maintenance retreat built around comfort, elegance, and adaptability.
