The Harper's Renovation

Main Bathroom Transformation

The Harper family approached our team to transform their main bathroom into a bright and airy space, without it being plain white or feeling ‘clinical’. As ‘Tiffany Blue’ was one of our client’s favourite colours, we advised them to paint the walls this colour, and found a number of tiles in this colour palette. They loved the Eden tile by Clay and Rock, which we felt would be on best display as a feature wall behind the basin.

To match the texture and tones in the botanical feature tile, we installed a concrete washbowl by Decosan. We finished this area by adding a large back lit vanity mirror which perfectly fitted the size of the featured tiled section.

Around the shower and WC we used large stone tiles, which also matched the texture in the featured wall tiles, and provided a contrast against the painted walls. We also built alcoves into the wall to provide extra storage in the shower. In these niches, we placed a blue brick tile arranged in a herringbone pattern to add more interest and depth to the area. The alcoves were finished by including recessed LED lighting to provide ambience.

To match the natural textures throughout the bathroom, we advised our clients to include a large quadrant shower with a white gemstone tray by Flair. The shower was finished by installing gunmetal brassware by House of Piccadilly and trims as it best complemented the room’s cool-toned colour palette, and provided a nice contrast against the light stone tiles in the shower.

We also built additional towel storage into the shower wall recess as we wanted to give our client more storage without eating into the usable space in the room.

Natural wood textures were incorporated into the design through the vanity, internal door, window and flooring. This was done to soften the design whilst also matching the natural textures throughout the room.
