Ms Harries approached our team to transform her outdated bathroom into a dark and calming sanctuary where she could unwind. She wanted the overall aesthetic of the space to be moody and atmospheric while maintaining warmth and sophistication. Her love of copper, warm tones and natural materials played a central role in shaping the design, ensuring a space that feels both personal and luxurious.
In the bathroom we integrated rich, dark tones to establish a sense of intimacy and relaxation. We used brushed gunmetal brassware as it complemented the colour scheme and enhanced the space’s character. We incorporated wood textures in the vanity, internal door, window surround, and flooring, as it softened the overall design while also contributing to water-resistant acoustics.
In the walk-in shower, we installed two recessed niches, and an additional one behind the WC. Each niche was backed with recessed LED lighting, providing a soft illumination that enhances the mood while offering practical storage for toiletries. A large backlit vanity mirror spans the feature basin area, amplifying light and adding depth to the space.
To reinforce the bold and contemporary aesthetic, a black washbowl basin and a black back-to-wall rimless pan were selected. These elements contribute to the overall cohesiveness of the design, emphasizing the striking contrast between dark tones and warm textures.
