For this main bathroom project, the aim was to create a luxurious and relaxing space that utilised the generous room footprint and complemented the existing character features including the exposed timber beams rather than competing with them.

A key part of the design was the striking deep blue marble-effect wall tiles. Used throughout the walk-in shower, these tiles work particularly well alongside the original timber beams, creating a balance between rustic character and modern luxury.

The large walk-in shower was designed to make the most of the available space. A frameless glass screen keeps the room feeling open and spacious, whilst the generous shower area provides both a practical and luxurious showering experience. We incorporated a single large recessed niche into the shower wall, providing a useful storage solution for toiletries whilst also creating an attractive feature within the tiled wall. Integrated lighting within the niche adds a warm glow and highlights the beautiful texture of the tiles. The white marble-effect wall tiles around the basin and bath area provide a subtle contrast to the darker feature tiles, whilst the natural stone-effect flooring adds warmth and texture underfoot.

The freestanding vanity was chosen to bring a more traditional element into the scheme. Its soft, curved detailing complements the character of the property and contrasts beautifully with the stronger lines of the shower enclosure. Chrome brassware and a heated towel rail add a timeless finishing touch.

One of our favourite features of the space is the large illuminated mirror above the vanity. Its clean, contemporary design provides excellent practical lighting whilst reflecting the exposed beams above, helping to emphasise one of the property's most distinctive architectural features.
